Meiosis
Meiosis is the type of cell division where one body cell produces 4 gametes.
Interphase
Interphase is the cell growth phase where a cell increases in size, and duplicates chromosomes.
1st Stage of meiosis- Prophase 1
This stage is the exchange of DNA between two homologous chromosomes.
2nd stage of meiosis- Metaphase 1
This is when Homologous pairs align independently at the equator.
3rd stage of meiosis- Anaphase 1
This is when Homologous chromosomes separate and move toward the poles.
4th stage of meiosis- Telophase 1
This is when Daughter cells have one chromosome from each homologous pair.
5th stage of meiosis- Prophase 2
This is when Cells have one chromosome from each homologous pair.
6th stage of meiosis- Metaphase 2
This is when chromosomes align at the equator.
7th stage of meiosis- Anaphase 2
This is when Sister chromatids separate and become daugther chromosomes.
8th stage of meiosis- Telophase 2
This is when Spindle fibers disappears and cytokinesis takes place.
